First Pday! First Area! First Companion!

This is surely the first of everything! First week in the field! YES! He is already in the field! How fast! Right?

Philippines Quezon North Mission is surely the best for having the best missionary! Elder Gumban's first pday on Monday! His first companion is Elder Salisbury and he is first assigned in Ildefonso Branch Baliuag.

Members are so good! They have a very wide area composing of 30 baranggays! It is challenging that they even need to walk 4 hours to their appointments. The area was defined to be ricefield and "medyo bukid." However, Elder Gumban is so happy to serve his first area and to strengthen it!

Saying Hi to everyone! Email him at!

Missionary Training Center! 2 weeks!

2 weeks of training in the MTC was a blast! Well, Elder Gumban was called to be a Zone Leader in their two-weeks-stay which full of learning! How glorious and a wonderful calling it is for him! Sending how happy He is for everything to you everyone!

September 10, 2015: Departure!

Goodbyes are the hardest but seeing this guy walking into the entrance of the departure area bidding goodbye with his countenance shining and with his glowing smile makes it all easy. See you in two years Elder Gumban! You will be miss!

I was inspired to genesis 33-34. about the reunion of the two brothers namely Jacob and Esau. As we remember what happened to their story that esau was a hunter of any kind of animals, while jacob was simple person. One day, esau went home from hunting animals and was fainted and hungry. he asked for food/soup to his younger brother jacob as exchange to the BIRTHRIGHT that perhaps to be given to esau. as the days past that their father isaac was near to death. isaac gave a birthright to jacob. but isaac was blind and he dont know who was the one that he gave the birthright. jacob that time put the hair of animals to his parts of body that his father isaac would touch and thought that he was esau.esau was very angry to jacob, for jacob got the birthright.
now as we read to these chapters that the two brothers has a time to meet each other for about 20 years. pretty longer!~ Jacob lifted up his eyes, and ;looked, and behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. Jacob bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came to near to his brother. and Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell to his neck, and kissed him, and they wept.
"forgiveness heals"
this words was came to the mouth of our living prophet Thomas S. Monson. through forgiveness we can again experienced joy, peace, love to our lives and to other people. as we commemorate the perfect sacrifice of our lord and savior Jesus Christ that he forgive us for our sins.
---->>> as the EFY song LET IT BEGIN says that:
Don't carry the burden as the years go by. you dont need that crushing weight in your life. have faith to pray . for the strength to finally see this through. there's one who knows you perfectly He can takes the hurt away. Healing starts within, just let him in, LET IT BEGIN.
ever faithful,
